Toyota Supra 1993-2002
This pricing is a general cost of what it takes for us to swap in the 2jzgte
engine into your particular car. This is a guidline and there can be
unexpected extra costs associated.
Parts (Used)
Parts (New)
Motor Mounts -- Swap will use the Supra mounts that come with your vehicle. A Second option is to switch to TRD mounts ($250 for both) or the Powerhouse Racing Solid Motor Mounts ($299 or both). (If you have a 1997 or newer car, a 1993-1995 Supra bracket is necessary for use of either the PHR or TRD Mounts ($230 for both))
Manual and Clutch Options -- Swap above is for automatic transmission cars and will include an Aristo transmission with the motor. If you have a 5 speed car, you will need to upgrade your clutch. There are several options ranging in price from $500 to $3000 dollars depending on what clutch you want to use. This will be to your discretion, but you can refer to powerhouseracing.com for help and selection. You won't need a driveshaft if you are 5speed so you can reduce the price of the swap the price of the driveshaft.
Driveshaft -- Swap includes the Powerhouse Racing Engine Swap Driveshaft. It is adapting driveshaft. It is a good option to upgrade to the Powerhouse Racing One-Piece Driveshaft as it will only cost about $400 additional now as opposed full cost if you chose to upgrade later.
Intercooler -- Swap includes 1993-1998 Supra sidemount intercooler. This is isn't always available and they are sourced used. A better option will be to go front-mount intercooler. We can build a cheap kit for $900 and will be custom fit to your car. This will include our universal intercooler ($300 (12x24x3 core)) and custom made aluminum piping ($600). An even better option may be to use the Powerhouse Racing Intercooler Kit which is of nicer quality and good for more horsepower.
Supra ECU -- Swap includes the Aristo ECU, injectors which are run via speed density. The fuel injectors (440cc) limit ultimate horsepower at 400hp. An available option is to switch to the US spec Supra ECU ($300) and 550cc injectors ($250). This will increase available fuel to the 500hp range (though the stock turbos will not). If you choose this option you will also need a Supra MAF sensor or a computer to eliminate the MAF like the MAP ECU or AEM EMS. There are countless other options as well.
Exhaust -- Swap will use the factory catback exhaust. This limits ultimate horsepower on the stock turbos to around 300hp. We can build a custom single exhaust with 3" stainless piping and straight through muffler for $950. You can also do the Powerhouse Racing 4" exhaust.
6Spd Getrag Options -- Prices to convert your car to 6spd are heavily dependant on what clutch and rear end options you go with. For a complete 6spd swap including the 6spd rear end, Prices range from $7200 with a cheap clutch all the way to 15000 for the conversion with the most expensive clutches. The way you go about it is totally up to you. To reduce cost, you do have different rear end options that can save you a considerable amount of money, or even keep your existing differential. This will save you about $2000 going this route, but it's probably not the best approach without an LSD and tight gear ratios.
